The Spring Street and Central Avenue area was the home of the event. A view from McCardles’s Pub let you see it all. the food, music, and games were all on the streets.
Hopefully, everyone remembered to down by the Convention Center and kiss the Arkansas Blarney Stone. It was just two blocks from the grandstand. The world’s shortest St. Patrick’s Day parade was great. It was packed with lots of pride. Woot!
St. Patrick’s Day in Hot Springs AR is worth a trip. Combine it with some spa time, and a trip to Oaklawn Racetrack, and you cannot have a wonderful time. The Embassy Suites, Comfort Suites on Central, Hampton Inn and Staybridge are solid, clean places to stay.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day. May the fountains flow green all year.
